What is AR600 Steel Plate?
AR600 steel plate is a premium-grade abrasion resistant (AR) steel specifically engineered to withstand extreme wear and tear in the toughest environments. With a surface hardness between 570–640 Brinell (BHN), AR600 is among the hardest commercially available steel plates on the market.
While it’s less formable than lower-hardness grades, AR600 excels in applications where impact, gouging, and scraping occur regularly, such as in mining buckets, chutes, dump bodies, and aggregate removal systems.
