Material Classification & Scope
ASTM A213/ASME SA213 specifies seamless ferritic and austenitic alloy steel tubes for boilers, superheaters, and heat exchangers in power/process industries. Key variants include:
- T5 (1Cr-0.5Mo): Elevated temperature service ≤540°C
- T9 (9Cr-1Mo): Enhanced creep resistance ≤600°C
- TP304H (18Cr-8Ni-H): High-carbon austenitic for 870°C cyclic service
- SA-192 (C-Mn): Carbon steel counterpart for subcritical boilers
Compliant with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code Section I and EN 10216-2.
